Illinois Truck Accident Between Semi-Truck and Delivery Truck Sends One Trucker to the Hospital
A truck driver was injured yesterday following a two-truck crash in Crystal Lake. The Illinois semi-truck accident happened right before 3pm on Route 176 and Briarwood Road.
According to Crystal Police, a delivery truck for Charity Pickup Service moved into the path of a Mack Truck tanker. The semi-truck struck the delivery truck’s right rear passenger side, causing the latter vehicle to spin and flip onto the driver’s side.
The delivery truck driver was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
In other recent US truck crash news, two teens were killed on Tuesday in a log truck accident. Jordan M. Young and John McCowan, both 17, died after their vehicle did not stop at a stop sign. The Chevrolet Cavalier they were in crashed with a Peterbuilt truck. The two teens were pronounced dead at the truck accident site.
Also on Tuesday, a runaway truck drove off an embankment and struck a home, killing 23-year-ole Leo Leon, his 27-year-old wife Lorena, and their 7-year-old son. They were inside the residence at the time. Police say that the truck may have experienced brake failure.
According to police, prior to the truck accident trucker Garcia Morales thought there was a problem with the brakes but decided that they were functioning well enough that he could keep driving. Morales was transporting a load of gravel at the time of the collision. He was treated for a minor facial cut.
